Project Objectives
Passmores Academy have formed partnerships with three European schools as part of a Comenius project entitled 'iPad-Me'. The aim of this two year programme is to explore and develop iPad technology to improve teaching and learning in our classrooms. We believe this will continue to raise student motivation and engagement, increase independence and create work of a very high standard whilst embracing technological advancements and maximising employability in a constantly changing world.
Our partner schools are:
Lentiz Reviuslyceum, Maassluiss, The Netherlands.
Mas Camerena, Valencia, Spain.
Luca Signorelli, Orvieto, Italy.

The Visits |
An important part of the project is the visits to each country to share ideas and learn about each others schools and cultures. Each visit lasts a week and both staff and students stay with host families. Those lucky enough to be chosen for the trip have to write an application letter explaining why they want to be part of the project and what they have to offer to ensure it's success. During each visit there is a specific objective for the students to achieve using their iPads as well as several teaching workshops detailing useful applications. Obviously there is also time put aside for exploring places of interest and social events - believe me, we have our fair share of fun! See the photograph pages for each of the trips.
